How to make Stuffed Mushrooms

By  |  0 Comments

When I worked at a restaurant I used to always pay attention to how they cooked these fancy meals. One of my all time favorites and a huge hit are these stuffed mushrooms. You can stuff them with crabs, lobster, veggies, whatever you can think of. The easiest and one that mostly everyone will eat are the ones with onion, mushroom, and sour cream stuffing. 10912881_10152475643666493_751574204_n

1. We rinse off all the dirt from the mushrooms.

2. Break off the legs(is that what they are called?) and peel the skin from the heads.

3. Place them in a baking dish and make sure they are pretty tight in there.

4. The remainder of the mushrooms should be cut up as they are in the picture above.

5. Cut up an onion in the same way.

6. Now, combine the mushrooms, onions, and the sour cream. (pictures above & below)

7. Not pictured but then put a little amount of butter in a pan and cook the mix for 3-5 minutes.

8. I used crab meat in some of the mushrooms for those that may like them.

9. Once you cook the onion, mushroom, sour cream mix take a teaspoon and stuff the mushrooms with the mix.

10. NOT Pictured. Sprinkle shreded mozzarella & cheddar cheese mix over top of the stuffed mushrooms. 2-3 thick layers. Place in the oven on 350 and watch them bake. Watch for the cheese to melt and crisp a little.

TADA!!!! Pull them out and enjoy them as one of the best appetizers you will ever eat.
