New England Clam Chowder

Nothing like a hot soup/chowder on a snowy, cold winter day.
I have been craving it for a few weeks but haven’t had the time to make it. Today I had off from work and the house is clean and the baby was sleep so I decided to finally whip it up.

Ingredients:
– Heavy Cream (2 cups)
– Potatoes (5)
– Celery (2.5 Sticks) Just for flavor
– Black Pepper
– Clams & Clam Juice
– Onion (1/4)
– Butter
– Water (with a bit of Flour)

11039680_10152602425346493_1776499077_nClean and cut up potatoes, separate the clam juice from the clams, cut up the onions.

Melt 2 table spoons of butter then add Onions to it and cook for about 5 minutes on medium.

Cut Up Onions

Cook the Onions

Pour in the Clam Juice and potatoes and cook for 15-20 minutes covered.

Pour in heavy cream, water with flour and clams.

Season it with salt, pepper and a bit of cajun seasoning. Let it cook for 10 more minutes, remove the celery and ENJOY!!!
